In Memory… The First Year

August 9, 1988 – December 17, 2011

An elder soul wrapped in a youthful body, James had wisdom and reflections beyond his years.  He had ‘that smile’, honest and refreshing, it reflected the values and respect that guided his life.  We all miss him terribly, knowing a good man, son, grandson, brother, soul mate and friend to so many, left this world far too early.

To remember James this Monday, December 17, 2012, we invite all of you to pause for a moment at 12 noon, wherever you may be, whatever you are doing, and take a moment to light a candle if you can.  Pray for James, think of peace, and say a prayer for all of us still feeling his loss.  The collective thoughts and prayers from all of us together will surely be felt.

Weather permitting, some of us  may walk back to James’ bench in Bissett Park for noon on Monday.  All are welcome to join in if you can.  Otherwise we will be here at home.

For those of you who have a favourite photo of James, please share it and any message you have to this website, or maybe post if on Facebook if you can.  If you have another way you will be remembering James that’s wonderful, share it too if you like.

As his family, we thank all of you who pause to think and say a prayer for James on Monday.  We also thank all of you who continue to help us in so many ways.
