Nova Scotia Community College gratefully acknowledges the generosity of the family and friends of James Mattatall for establishing a memorial award in his memory. James attended NSCC Kingstec Campus and graduated from the Electrical – Construction & Industrial – Certificate program in 2008.

This award was established to honour James and celebrate his life. James lived life to its fullest every day. He applied himself to his studies and was accepted into an apprenticeship program by an excellent company. James set high standards for himself in his chosen career, approaching each challenge with common sense and good humour. He volunteered to participate in company charity and community events. This award celebrates his spirit and legacy by supporting students enrolled in the Electrical – Construction & Industrial – Certificate program at the NSCC Kingstec and Waterfront Campuses.
