In Loving Memory

James MattatallIt is with deep sadness and piercing grief we recall that terrible night, December 17, 2011 when James was tragically killed.

Since his sudden passing we take comfort knowing how many continue to keep memories of James alive, in so many ways.  James lived every day as an adventure, mindful of the needs of others, never letting an opportunity pass him by.  We are so proud of all he accomplished in his short 23 years and thankful for the joy he brought to our lives.

Over the past three years many family members and dear friends  joined us at various stages of our grieving process.  Many more were keeping  James, and us, in their  thoughts and prayers.  To all of you, your support gave us tremendous strength and courage and we thank you all from the bottom of our broken hearts.

This dark journey of his passing will never change our new reality and bring James back.  However, with the recent closure we experienced there is a slight easing of the heavy burden of grief we carry.

With sorrow in our hearts, and gratitude to all our family and friends…

Elaine and David (parents); Daniel and Jaycie (brother and sister-in-law); grandparents Helen and Skit, Lorraine; Morgan (James’s love), and families.
