In Loving Memory
Of James Philip Mattatall

James Mattatall

Two years ago James died tragically at age 23,
the victim of a senseless act of violence.
Our lives and hearts were dismantled the day
he died, and will never be the same.
The depth of our sorrow has not diminished,
but we exist…just not the way we would choose.
As we try to make strides forward with our lives…
there are setbacks that take us back to the bitter,
anguished moments of James’s death.
But grief shared is grief diminished.
We gratefully accept the help we continue to receive from
family, friends and James’s vast number of friends.
“Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death” (Psalm 23:4).
We are walking, very small steps, with help from all of you.
Remember James through your own acts of kindness,
compassion and friendship toward others.
Remember him with your pictures and stories…
share that joy and he will be smiling along with you.
