December 17, 2016 is the fifth anniversary of James’ death.  On that day we would like to celebrate his life.  It’s been a long, dark five years and as we all pass through this milestone let us share with one and another the life of a man that was taken from us far too soon.

For everyone that knew James, we all remember him in a variety of ways and this year will be no different.  On Saturday, December 17th some of you may choose to take a walk out to the bench at Bissett Park, others may kneel in a silent prayer, and for some maybe they will raise a glass in his honour.  Whether we live in Halifax, across the country or over the seas, wherever you are, please take a moment to celebrate the memory of James.

Whatever way you choose to remember James on the 17th I have but one request.  Share your remembrance so we can share it with everyone that uses this web site.  It will be a way to celebrate James’ life and to continue the embrace of love and support for James’ family.

If you light a candle and place it in a window, send in a picture.  If you release a balloon, send in a video.  If you write a poem or letter to James, send it in. Whatever way you remember James on the 17th we would like to post it to the web site.  Email your remembrance to celebrate@jamesmattatall.ca and it will get posted.  Send your name and location.  Can also post anonymously.
