Charity Hockey Game

Update – November 8, 2012

The hockey game was a great success!!  Thanks to everyone that came out to support this event.

Over $700 was raised at the door for the James Mattatall Memorial Fund.  The fund is getting very close to $25,000.  Once this amount is reached, it will have endowment fund status.

James’ father David went out and dropped the first puck.  David also won the draw for the shoot out and put the puck in the net.  He won a t-shirt, toque, and a gift certificate.

On Sunday, Nov 4, 2012 at 6pm there will be a hockey game at Cole Harbour Place between the Dartmouth Whalers Atom AA team and the Cole Harbour team.  The game is a “pay what you can” at the door and the proceeds go to a charity fund picked by the teams.

Since James used to play hockey with the Dartmouth Whalers, then went on to be a referee and an assistant coach, the funds this year will go to the James Mattatall Memorial Fund.

James parents will be there to drop the puck, so please join them and other family & friends to come out and watch the game.
